What is CareFrame?
A screen for someone who needs help keeping track of the day, including people living with memory loss. It shows the time, date, notes and family photos. Family manages the content from a phone app.
Does my loved one need a phone or an app?
No. Notes and photos appear automatically on their screen. They only need to tap OK to stop a reminder alarm.
What do we need to use it?
A power point and Wi-Fi where the screen will be used. Family members need the iPhone or Android app and an internet connection on their phones.
Can I update it from another home?
Yes. Use the app to change notes, add photos and set reminders from wherever you are. The screen needs Wi-Fi to receive updates.
Can more than one family member use the app?
Yes. The household owner invites family members by mobile number. They can then send notes, add photos and set reminders. Unlimited family members are included.
How much will it cost?
The screen price has not been announced. Notes, photos, reminders and unlimited family members are included without a subscription.
What happens when a reminder rings?
The reminder fills the screen with one large OK button. The alarm gets louder over 20 seconds. It stops when OK is tapped, or after two minutes. Tapping OK stops the alarm; it does not confirm that the task was completed.
What happens at night?
With night mode on, the screen shows a dim clock from 9pm to 7am. Reminders still ring.
How will setup work?
Plug the screen into power and connect it to the home Wi-Fi. Use the family app to pair the screen, add photos and send the first note.
What happens if Wi-Fi disconnects?
The screen shows your latest notes and photos, and picks up anything new as soon as it reconnects.
